My Arizona Adventure
First off – I am SO sorry for taking this long to publish a new post, but the past week and a half has been hectic to say the least. As I type this post I’m sitting pool side with a celebratory cerveza at my Hotel in Tucson Arizona. Before Sunday I had never been to Arizona and so far it has lived up to all the hype about how hot it is. It’s the type of dry desert heat that makes shade and a nice cold Corona seem like heaven on Earth. Seeing palm trees and all types of crazy cactuses has been a nice and much needed break from all the confined concrete of city life. Everything and everyone in Arizona is baked by the sun and there’s a vibrant art scene as well as amazing authentic Mexican food.
My main purpose for coming to Tucson is to write an article about a Dutch DJ named Hardwell. He’s an outstanding artist who has headlined Ultra and toured with Tiesto, just to name a few of the things he’s accomplished already at age 23. I feel privileged to be able to meet him let alone have an intimate interview with him, and after I get back from this trip I’ll be sure to post the finished article as soon as it is published. Till then – thanks for reading and after I get home I’ll be posting a re-cap piece all about the show tonight. Hope you all had a terrific Tuesday and that these words can at least bring a smile to your face.
I’ll leave you with some soulful tunes from Mayer Hawthorne and one of my favorite quotes from my favorite writer ever. It’s very inspiring and has been a motto of mine for a while. As always, stay creative and go live the life you imagined!
“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours”
– Henry David Thoreau
